The crazy antics of jewel thief extraordinaire Inna D.  Skies, also known as the Costumed Cat Burglar take the cake (or should we say pie?!)  in the little town of North Bend in the Washington Territory.  She disguises herself as the famous pie baker Granny Smyth and attempts to “fence” the hot jewels (which she fondly refers to as “ice”) by posing as sweet Ida Mae d’Pye’s long-lost grandmother.  Mae already has her hands full thanks to the doting attention of local delivery man and handsome hero Dan D.  Dawdling.  When he overhears customer Al Amode requesting ice cream on top of his peach cobbler, he takes it upon himself to find ice for Mae.  The two plotlines weave together in hysterical fashion as Dan tries to buy ice for the ice cream and Inna tries to sell her “ice.”  To top things off, two agents of the Criminal Retrieval Security Taskforce (known as CRuST), come into town but suspect that Dan is the jewel thief!  Witty word play flies across the stage as fast as a pie in the face as the good town folk and our dashing Dan rescue the real Granny and give Inna and her henchmen their just desserts.  This sweet delight is ideal for dinner theatre (or dessert theatre!)  and is also great for fundraising with a pie sale!
