Here’s a show alive with action, excitement, and dynamic music.  When an inane schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, comes to the farming community of Sleepy Hollow, he brings with him all his worldly possessions as he seeks a well-to-do wife.  He’s sure his dream will come true when he spots the striking Katrina Van Tassel.  Sadly for poor Ichabod, the boisterous Brom Bones is Katrina’s extremely jealous boyfriend.  Matters are complicated even more as the ghostly graveyard is haunted by a host of tense spirits, including the Headless Horseman, the most renowned phantom of all.  When Ichabod proposes marriage to Katrina at a party, he is kicked out by Brom, forcing him to make his way through the graveyard during a raging storm.  In the dark, we sense there’s something overshadowing poor Ichabod, aiming to take the poor soul’s life!  This suspenseful musical is filled with a variety of songs that fit the bill:  ’A Superstitious Yankee Folk,’ ’Ghost in the Graveyard,’ and of course, ’The Headless Horseman.’ Suitable for all age groups, this action-filled musical is deceptively easy to stage and fun to produce.

We produced and performed Sleepy Hollow this past fall for the second time in about 8 years.  It is one of your best musicals.  The students thoroughly enjoyed it as did our audiences.  There are numerous solo parts as well as several choral groupings possible.  The music and singing is well within the range of our middle and high school students who were in the show.  All in all a delightful experience. Joe Borden, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN

...great fun for the Halloween season! KCSG Television, St. George, Utah

We thoroughly enjoyed producing Sleepy Hollow, the Musical by Vera Morris and Bill Francouer.  The music fit so well with the story.  We built a full-size horse and headless rider prop which thrilled the audience.  Humor, great tunes, suspense...  Loads of fun! Michelle Herx, Quick As A WInk Theatre Society, Falmouth, NS

We loved Sleepy Hollow because the writing was interesting, lots of oppportunity for creativity and humor, the music was catchy, and no one had ever seen anything like this before.  Our audiences were raving about it. Gay Menditto, Pikes Peak Drama Rama, Colorado Springs, CO
