Once a ratings juggernaut, reality show Everything Leona Wants is on the brink of cancellation, so the self-absorbed titular star and her staff must hatch a wild plan to save it. They decide to rent a dreamy Italian villa, invite a roster of celebrity astronauts, and stage a fabulously televised wedding for Leona’s beautiful but shy daughter, Helen. Can ratings gold be far behind? Leona can only hope!
Chaos erupts, however, when the show’s scheming producer decides that ratings will spike even higher if romance is trounced by scandalous deceit and heartbreak. With mistaken identities, fake social media feeds of betrayal, and an unexpected relationship between the spirited Beatrice and Benedict, the show spirals into hilarity with every plot twist and turn that’s surprisingly in sync with Shakespeare’s original comedy.
Like with their other three Seusspeare plays, Hamlett and Dare use their own incredible wit and wordplay to show just how timeless Shakespeare’s plays truly are.
