With King Dankworth threatening to demolish Serendipity Theater and feed its owners to the royal dragons, Mr. and Mrs. Filby have just one last chance to produce a hit show. The King is demanding that his obnoxious daughter be a star in her favorite play, Cinderella, but Princess Hazel is more interested in being the kingdom’s top influencer than in rehearsing. To make matters worse, the Filbys can only pull together an oddball cast: Literella takes directions way too literally, Blade believes all scenes are better with a sword, Rose won’t go anywhere without her “twin” brother (who is actually a puppet), Inquisita takes method acting to a whole new level, and more!
The Filbys make a risky deal with Rumpelstiltskin to hire the kingdom’s hottest celebrity couple, pop star Melody and action hero Thorne. Their star power could possibly save the show... if they didn’t arrive at the theater broken up and despising each other. Not surprisingly, the play-within-a-play is a disaster, and the Filbys are sure they’re doomed to be dragon food. Can a bit of serendipity lead to a happily-ever-after ending?

Get It Now! Immediate Downloads
Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download. You will not receive physical versions of anything you select for Get It Now! delivery. This option requires the purchase of a sufficient number of scripts (distribution rights) for your entire cast and pre-payment of your entire order, including royalties.
