Mayhem is the perfect word to describe the wacky antics of this hilarious one-act comedy mystery that takes place at the mansion of the eccentric Brits, the Vandersnoots. This bustling comedy delivers nonstop laughs and continuous chaos to delight actors and audiences alike!
The dark and stormy night (of course!) starts with the arrival of Lord and Lady Vandersnoot’s invited dinner guests. This eclectic group includes a hypochondriac doctor, a compulsively lying professor, a busybody painter, and a kindergarten teacher whose job has given her PTSD. But when butler Branson and maid Nanette discover a broken cellar window, everyone is concerned that somebody has broken in. That would explain the grandiloquent thief Lady Vandersnoot encounters, but not the bumbling assassin posing as a ninja. It also wouldn’t explain why the jewels are already stolen and in Nanette’s apron pocket!
Rich with kooky characters that your actors will love portraying and laugh out loud humor poking good-natured fun at Brits and their love of tea and sherry, it’s a good thing a seasoned detective and an officer with a chronic case of hiccups arrive to unravel all the Mayhem at Vandersnoot Mansion!
