Join the high-flyin’ fun of the post-war 1940s with exuberant jitterbug, boogie-woogie, and jump ‘n’ jive songs of the big band spirit! This one-hour musical gives dancers a chance to showcase their talent within the context of a delightful, family-friendly comedy. The Montague-Capulet family feud has moved to Venice Beach in the late 1940s. Mr. Montague and his son Ron are planning a jitterbug dance contest. Mr. Capulet and his daughter Juliet are rehearsing “Romeo and Juliet.” When the community center gets double-booked for both these events at the same time, it’s up to Ron and Juliet to settle the grudge between their fathers. If they don’t succeed, the mayor threatens to shut down both family businesses. But with a nosy cleaning woman, a slimy lawyer and his escaped con henchman fueling the fire between the families, this tragedy quickly turns into a hysterical comedy.

Get It Now! Immediate Downloads
Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download. You will not receive physical versions of anything you select for Get It Now! delivery. This option requires the purchase of a sufficient number of scripts (distribution rights) for your entire cast and pre-payment of your entire order, including royalties.
