Apartment living can be complex and full of surprises, as you’ll discover in these five short comedy duet plays about folks living in the same high-rise building. With just two players onstage at a time and a simple living room set that serves for each scene, High-Rise High Jinks brings it all together into a fun one-act that is perfect for middle schools, high schools, and community theatre.
In one apartment, the new occupant wants to contact the spirit of the previous tenant, while his skeptical friend seeks only pizza. On another floor, Emma plans for a quiet night of reading, but her roommate has far different expectations. In “What’s App-ening,” two friends debate their fate after a phone app shows them images of their future faces. And then there’s 18-year-old Claire trying in vain to assume the identity of her brand-new fake ID. Finally, we see Tess tutor her single friend Kip in the art of letting go so he can embrace new possibilities. Or maybe she just wants to help him clean his apartment?!

Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download. You will not receive physical versions of anything you select for Get It Now! delivery.
