This award winning adventure fantasy has the flavor of a modern folk tale. Young Kendall Kip, left in the care of Ain’t Leena, wonders if his parents still love him. With his pet hamster, Hauncho, he sets off to find them on a marvelous journey through the labyrinth of tunnels in Hauncho’s unique habitrail. Friends Belinda Braveheart and Billy Barnstorm soon follow. The wayfarers are waylaid by fabulous characters like Profitess Palmetto, a deliciously avaricious backwater oracle, and the Bewilderbeast, a mischievous creature who delights in dilemmas and lives in a cinder block box. Enchanting theatregoers with a view of the familiar from unfamiliar perspectives, this play examines elements like friendship and courage that are universal to the human experience.

Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download. You will not receive physical versions of anything you select for Get It Now! delivery. This option requires the purchase of a sufficient number of scripts (distribution rights) for your entire cast and pre-payment of your entire order, including royalties.
