The whole country is talking about Lucy Belle Bankhead’s sensational new novel, Gone with the Gust.  The heroine is a spunky eighteen-year-old Jezebel O’Toole, who makes Scarlett O’Hara seem like soggy grits.  Naturally, hundreds of teenage girls descend on Lone Pine Films in Hollywood.  Gone with the Gust is its next picture, and Peggy Tempest, the temperamental, flaky and most powerful star in town, is slated to play Jezebel.  To keep her in line, producers Ruth Wintersole and Huckleberry Jones pretend they want an ’unknown’ for the part.  The scheme appears to work.  After a few comic mishaps, they find the ideal girl, Vicki Rawlins, and the press builds her up big.  But when it’s discovered Ruth and Huckleberry don’t actually have the film rights to the novel, Peggy starts suing everyone in sight!  The resolution to this dilemma will have your audience doubled over in laughter!  There are fun roles such as frantic studio personnel, would-be actors, agents, columnists, tour guides and an army of lawyers on the march.  Based on the ever-popular musical, this fast-paced Hollywood saga is very simple to produce and proves ’there’s no business like show business!’
