This story introduces us to a naïve young housewife, a charming grandmother, a misguided social climber and a singularly untalented singer looking for her first ”big break.” Each character, in turn, comes into possession of an ornately carved wooden box. How the box travels from owner to owner makes this a stunning holiday piece.
This versatile script may serve as a monologue or may be produced with up to five women. With a few line changes provided in the production notes, this show can be used any time of the year.
While not specifically written for virtual theatre, this play adapts easily for online performances with only minor adjustments necessary.

Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download.
