Here’s a delightful production of seven skits based on the short stories of Sholom Aleichem, the renowned Yiddish humorist best known for the popular Fiddler on the Roof. The pieces will transport your audience back to Sholom Aleichem’s birthplace of Ukraine and the tiny, fictional shtetl of Kasrilevkeh, where the residents laugh in the face of poverty, committed to their lifestyle, devoted to home, family and the cycle of religious holidays. Meet entertaining characters, such as Sholom Shachneh, the scatterbrain; Toppel Tootooreetoo, with an endearing speech defect who is teased by his schoolmates; Rochel, who runs a restaurant that is famous for the country’s worst service; and little Sholom, who craves for a pocketknife, obtains it and subsequently suffers the consequences. This charming work, which can be performed as one piece or as individual selections, is relative to children and adults of all age groups.

Get It Now! Immediate Downloads
Get It Now! allows you to immediately download PDFs of the script, director’s book, and music scores for our shows. Production/rehearsal CDs sets are also available for immediate download. You will not receive physical versions of anything you select for Get It Now! delivery. This option requires the purchase of a sufficient number of scripts (distribution rights) for your entire cast and pre-payment of your entire order, including royalties.
