Whether for staging a production, for scene work practice, for readers theatre, or for simply reading, the characters in these four dramatic plays will work their way into your heart and stay with you.  Hischak’s beautiful, skilled playwriting has created moving story arcs for a wide array of characters.  In “The Candle in the Window,” a lonely woman retains hope that her son will return after a 30-year absence.  “The Two Widows,” adapted from a Nathaniel Hawthorne story, introduces us to two young women who both struggle with the tragic loss of their husbands.  “The Last Day of the Century” follows a clockmaker who feels he is running out of time as the twentieth century approaches, and “No Story Whatsoever” is a charming, yet heartbreaking O. Henry story faithfully retold.

Each play is complete with not only the script, but also a cast of characters, set description, and production notes.  As a royalty-free PDF, you are able to make as many copies of any (or all!)  of the scripts you need...  and produce them royalty-free!
