It’s the late 1800s in the Big North Woods, where the trees grow tall and the tale of a young logger named Paul Bunyan grows even taller.
After the passing of her pa, young Molly Ryan now runs the Grand Haven Lumber Company — but not for long if she and her lumberjacks can’t meet an upcoming logging deadline. The company’s chance of success greatly increases thanks to Paul Bunyan, a stalwart lumberjack. He’s no giant, but certainly a big guy with an even bigger heart.
But will his steadfast and valiant efforts be enough against local weasel and all-around wretch, Wesley Wheedle, who is sabotaging their efforts in order to scavenge the company’s remains? When Wheedle takes over as sheriff, it looks as though there’s no stopping him and his foul henchmen from trying every dirty trick in the book! For Paul to help Molly make the deadline now... why, that would be the type of story that legends are made of!
Paul Bunyan: How a Tall Tale Begins is a charming, folksy, origin story of an ordinary young man who becomes an extraordinary logging legend whose tale just continues to grow.
