When the world might seem more divided than ever, we want to take this opportunity to reassure you that at Pioneer Drama Service, we have the same values and priorities as always. As a family-owned and operated business started by my father-in-law 62 years ago, our mission statement remains the same and says it all: to be the most helpful and friendly source for affordable, high-quality drama material for educational, children’s, and community theatres everywhere.
We love how theatre unites people together in schools, communities, and towns around the world. In cities and towns near and far, large and small, the magic of theatre knows no bounds... and it shouldn’t have to worry about international boundaries either. We are thrilled that we’ve sold plays and textbooks to 84 different countries in the last five years alone! We are especially pleased that our E-views for preview scripts and Get It Now! and Get It Soon electronic delivery options for production orders have made the process incredibly simple for our international customers (and our domestic customers too). Not only do foreign customers get their materials emailed directly to them, they also avoid paying any shipping, customs, or brokerage fees. Being involved in theatre teaches teamwork, commitment, speaking and listening skills, time management, the ability to think on your feet, problem-solving, acceptance, and above all else, empathy. Theatre transcends the here and now and lets you transport your patrons to other places and other worlds, teaching them empathy and compassion as part of their theatrical journey.
