Online Ordering
We get many of the same questions over and over again, so we thought we’d create a new type of blog called Tips & Tidbits. Pioneer Drama is already the easiest play publisher to work with, and with these tips, we’ll make it even easier! Today’s Tips & Tidbits are about our online ordering process, to help you get exactly what you want when you want it.
Music tracks sent electronically
Not many people have CD players anymore, so you probably want the music tracks digitally, even if you’re getting physical materials for all the other parts.
To do this when ordering online, select e-delivery for your delivery option. This pulls up a list with your whole order, each part checked for e-delivery. From here, simply UNCHECK all the parts EXCEPT the music tracks. That way, only the music will be sent electronically (as links to mp3 files), and all your other material will be shipped normally.
Of course, you’re also welcome to order with a purchase order or by phone. With either of these options, just specify that you want everything shipped except the music tracks, which you want emailed instead.
Music tracks on a flash drive
If you prefer the music tracks on a flash drive instead of a CD or digitally, we can do that, too! Go ahead and order the CDs to be shipped, then in the Special Instructions section when you’re checking out, write us a note that you would like the music tracks on a flash drive instead of a CD.
You can also do this on your purchase order or when you call to place your order.
Use the Special Instructions section for special requests
We hand-process all our online orders (other than the automated delivery of e-views and Get It Now! orders), so if you ever have a special request or need to provide more information regarding your order, the Special Instructions box is the place to do it! We guarantee we’ll read any notes you leave here for us before processing your order. There’s something to be said for doing things the old-fashioned way!
Requesting a quote
More and more schools have a purchasing department that requires an exact quote before they’ll issue a purchase order or approve a purchase. This is easy with Pioneer Drama since our specialty is working with schools!
When you request a quote, we will email you a formal quote, then hold your order until we hear back from you. We will NOT ship your order or email you any materials until you follow up with us with a purchase order or other payment information.
To receive a formal quote via email, place your full order online and proceed to the checkout process. If you’ll be getting a purchase order from the district, please enter the district information for the billing address and your school information or the district warehouse for the shipping address.
As you’re entering the billing information, make sure you select “School or business” for the address type. On the next page in the “Bill Me” section, type QUOTE ONLY in the space provided for a purchase order.
Once you have a quote, please stay in touch with us! We’re happy to revise it in any way if you need, so just give us a call or email us and let us know. If you will not be following through with an order, please let us know that as well, so we don’t keep following up with you.
Check your order before clicking SUBMIT!
We hate to say it, folks, but about 25% of our online orders have at least one typo on them, usually in the address or the email address. Auto-fill doesn’t help, often filling fields with unwanted information. So, please, double check how you’ve filled out the billing, shipping, and contact information BEFORE you hit submit! While you’re at it, also double check that you’ve ordered the right title. We have a lot of similarly titled shows, so this is the time to make sure you ordered the right one... BEFORE you hit submit!
Then, take a look at your transaction confirmation you receive immediately after you hit submit. Make sure that there are no typos in any of the billing, shipping, or contact information and that the titles and quantities are correct. You’ll especially want to notice if your cart timed out and your order was submitted as a blank order. If you need to correct anything, immediately use the ONLINE CHAT to send us a message, even if it’s after hours. Hand-processing our orders ensures your order will get individual attention. But don’t wait to contact us — we process our orders very quickly to provide you the very best service!
