Making Musicals Possible

With livestreaming rights available for ALL Pioneer Drama musicals, they’re more popular than ever!  Our large collection of OVER 230 MUSICALS includes decade shows, fractured fairy tales, adaptations from classic literature, and many more.  Each and every one of Pioneer Drama’s musicals may be rehearsed and performed online, recorded and broadcast, or livestreamed, making licensing this year’s musical a breeze!

And we have more tools than ever to help you make the most of your precious rehearsal time!

Chances are you won’t be able to have a pit orchestra for your musical this year, but don’t worry!  Practically all Pioneer Drama musicals have studio quality production/rehearsal CD sets or music tracks available.  The production tracks are comprised of all the music you need for the show and often include sound effects, too.  Purchase of the music tracks grants you the right to use them in your actual production — whether online or live.  Meanwhile, the rehearsal tracks add in the lyrics to help your singers quickly learn the songs.  You can even share the rehearsal tracks with your cast members so they can be practicing on their own at home.

And for visual learners, we now have Lyric Learner™ slideshows available for over 50 of our top-selling musicals!  These PowerPoint slideshows include all the lyrics to every musical number in the show and can be used with a Smartboard or projector so your entire cast can see and learn the words.

Rehearsing remotely?  That’s okay!  Using the screen sharing feature available on most video conference platforms, you can broadcast your screen (and your audio) to your cast during virtual rehearsals.  And like the rehearsal music tracks, you can share the slideshows with your cast members so they can practice independently at home.

These slideshows are set up to be as user-friendly as possible.  Simply open the slideshow and let it run — the slides and transitions have all been timed to the music for both the vocal and the instrumental music tracks.  No clicks required!  And Lyric Learner™ slideshows are fully editable in case you need to make simple modifications, such as changing who sings a line or skipping a verse.

Access to the Lyric Learner™ for a particular musical requires a production order including the production/rehearsal CD set or music tracks.  The slideshow is mailed to you on a CD and can either be ordered at the same time you place your production order or as an additional order any time afterwards.  If you need the files in a downloadable format instead of a CD, just let us know and we can set up a Dropbox or Google Drive download for you instead.  For those without PowerPoint, Lyric Learner™ files can be viewed in Google Docs, in Dropbox, or in a free account for Microsoft OneDrive.
