Author Profile: Patrick Walsh
Patrick Walsh is a youth theater director, performer, playwright, and teacher from the suburbs of Philadelphia. He resides in Drexel Hill with his wife, Kristen, and their two cats. His first full length play, The Fluttering Pulses, was the winner of the Sue Winge Playwriting Competition with Villanova University's Theater Department in 2016.
As a director of youth theater, Patrick began writing original plays to be presented as part of his yearly drama productions. Patrick also directed several titles from Pioneer Drama over the years. His play, Holy Mother of Bingo!, was selected as the 2024 Shubert Fendrich Memorial Playwriting Contest winner.
He credits his playwriting professor Michael Hollinger with helping him discover this passion. Patrick achieved his B.A. in English from Villanova University. His dream job was always to be a circus clown, but for now, he'll settle for middle school teacher.
