Kendra Ann Thomas has been writing stories since she was in Mrs. Jewell’s second grade class for dyslexic learners. After learning to remove the labels of her disability, she went on to become a teacher, theatre director, and counselor. She is the author of the young adult novels Ravenheart, Sorrowheart, and Nobleheart as well as Absence with Pictures, an award-winning play performed at Verser Theatre, and The Struggles, 2014 winner of the A+ Playwriting Contest for Teachers from Pioneer Drama Service. Her short stories have also appeared in numerous literary journals. She is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and Lamar University, where she is currently pursuing her doctorate in Education. She lives in Raleigh, NC with her cat, Gelato, and her husband, Chris, who is and shall always be her knight in shining armor.
