Author Profile:  Jill K.  Swanson

Jill K.  Swanson is an actor and teacher with the Austin Shakespeare Festival in Austin, Texas.  Notable performances include Desdemona in Othello, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Ms. Swanson studied Shakespeare with Jean McDaniel at Florida State University, where her roles included Rosalind in As You Like It, Emilia in Othello, Hermione in The Winter’s Tale, and Phebe in As You Like It.  Nothing has taught her more about performing Shakespeare than teaching kids for Austin Shakespeare Festival, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School’s Arts on the Lake program.
