Author Profile:  Stephanie Seacord

Stephanie Seacord teaches Theatre and Civics, directs the Thespian troupe, and runs the Theatre Crew Club at Dr. John Long Middle School in Wesley Chapel, FL.  She graduated with a B.A. in Performance Theatre from the University of South Florida, where she studied acting, directing, and playwriting. 

With her writing partner and husband, Adam Seacord, Stephanie writes plays that meet the unique casting needs of their school.  Each year, Dr. John Long Middle School premiers a new play written by Stephanie and Adam Seacord.  They take pride in facilitating a student-driven production supported by an all-student crew. 

Stephanie and Adam also won the 2025 Pioneer Drama’s A+ Playwriting Contest for Teachers with their first play written together, Little Women — Then and Now.
