Donald Mellen has been involved in theatrical productions for the last 40 years. With over 120 productions under his belt, Donald has run the gamut of musicals, dramas, comedies, tragedies, and melodramas (and that was just backstage).
Throughout his career, Donald is perhaps most proud of his 20 years as "Resident Villain" for The Great American Tent Show Co., which produced melodramas in the style of the old traveling troupes of yore (along with the occasional big Broadway musical, for good measure).
In his luxurious spare time, Donald has also been (at one time or another) a computer consultant, programmer, warehouse shipments auditor, refreshment stand sales associate, and a newspaper delivery entrepreneur.
Donald truly believes that he is uniquely qualified to write melodramas precisely due to his extensive career experience as a newspaper delivery entrepreneur (and having been in 60 melodramas doesn't hurt, either).
