Garry Kluger began acting at the age of 8 and continued professionally right up to the time when he realized that the last 8 roles he had auditioned for were all in the elf/leprechaun genre, so he concentrated on his writing. Aside from his books 50 Professional Scenes For Student Actors, 50 More Professional Scenes, and Original Scenes for Actors, Kluger has authored nine plays, 12 documentaries (including one for the famous Discovery Channel Shark Week), three TV series, and over 150 live shows for Disney in the U.S. and internationally.
His awards include: Year's Best World Premiere Play (for "A Thorn in the Family Paw) at the Stage Scene LA Awards; Best Writer - Original Play from the Valley Theatre Awards; Red Carpet Award - from Women In Theatre for contributions to the L.A. theatre scene; Bronze Award from the World Series Of Screenwriting - Play Category - for Aquarius Rising; O'Neill Playwrights Conference 3-Time Semi-Finalist; Participant/Winner/Finalist in the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, Warner International Playwrights Festival, Theatre West's WESTFEST, Pittsburgh New Works Festival, Sterts International Playwrights Festival, and Stage Three Playwrights Festival.
