Jeremy “JJ” Johnson is a father, husband, writer, and mountain trail runner. A published poet, award-winning reporter, and internationally produced playwright, the former Drama Club kid enjoys absurd humor and fun wordplay, drawing inspiration from authors such as Christopher Durang and Edward Albee. JJ has found theatre to be the perfect platform for visual storytelling — especially after coming from a more structured journalism background. He was pleased to join the Pioneer Drama Service staff as a project editor in 2017. JJ published his first play with Pioneer Drama in May 2020. He lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife, daughter, and two cats.
