Author Profile:  Teresa Hockman

Teresa and David Hockman are a husband and wife theatrical team who have written, produced, and directed dozens of plays over the last 30+ years. 

As high school and junior high drama directors, as well as directors and producers of their own summer theater, the Hockmans quickly discovered the best way to find scripts that suited their needs was to write them themselves.

And that is exactly what they did. 

Their scripts range from comedy and murder mysteries to adaptations of classic stories, many of which include original songs. 

Currently they have three plays published with Pioneer Drama:  Murder at Aunt Agatha’s, The Absolutely True Story of King Arthur, and MSND:  A Modern Shakespearean Night’s Dream, all of which have been produced multiple times in venues throughout the US and abroad.  The Hockman shows are sure crowd-pleasers.

And coming up next, with a Pioneer publication in time for fall 2025, is a brand new one-act Christmas show called Santa Saves the Play!
