Author Profile: Heather H. Henderson
Heather Henderson caught the theater bug at an early age but never got to say a line on-stage until she was a senior in high school. She performed in many ballets (where you're not allowed to talk) and then, in her first high school production, Heather was cast as a deaf/mute character! It was not until West Side Story that she was able to utter the very memorable line, "Ooh, oobley, ooh" as Riff's girlfriend, Velma.
After high school, Heather attended Florida State University (and again, she didn't get to say any lines in The Merry Widow) where she decided to become a teacher. Teachers get to say lots of lines! Following graduation, Heather taught drama for four years at Galaxy Middle School in Deltona, Florida, teaching students to say all the lines she was never able to. She currently teaches seventh grade Language Arts at Galaxy.
Heather and her husband, Michael Green, and their five very dramatic cats are expecting the arrival of their own little thespian sometime in June. This is her first published book (but she has lots of others at home in a closet...).
