Author Profile: Rebecca Gellott
English teacher by day, director/choreographer by night (with a little bit of marching band in-between), Rebecca Gellott spends the majority of her hours at Padua Franciscan High School in Parma, Ohio as an integral part of both the English and Fine Arts departments. Having spent a few years travelling around the country doing marketing and trade show coordination for a New Jersey-based telecom company, Rebecca realized her true passion for teaching and directing after choreographing her first high school production as a favor for a friend; she hasn’t left educational theater since. Rebecca has a BA in Communications and a Master of Education degree from John Carroll University; has choreographed and/or directed over twenty-two productions both at Padua and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin School in Chardon, Ohio; and has performed with Huntington Playhouse Community Theater and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. She is the 2015 winner of the A+ Playwriting Contest for Teachers for her beautiful adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
