My plays have been produced on every continent except Antarctica. I really like my plays. I’ve seen them done professionally and in schools. They are easy to direct, rarely require a set change, and don’t leave actors sitting backstage for long stretches. I try to give everyone their moment... if not many of them! And the plays you’ll find here are all funny, with female actors outnumbering male actors.
I was educated with a B.A. in Political Science from Millersville University, and a M.A. in Theater from New York University, with one semester at Bretton Hall College in England.
I’ve been honored with several playwriting awards over the years. My short adult play Checkmate was featured in SlamBoston 2005, Hoping to See God was the critic's choice at the Lafayette Frankenstein Experiment in January 2006, and God's Religion was produced by the Kansas City Women Playwrights Festival in March 2006. In 2007, my A Little Princess was a winner in the East Valley Children's Theater Playwriting Contest.
In addition to playwriting, a lot of my writing time has gone into my stand-up comedy routine, which took me all over the country and on three overseas military tours. Most recently, my podcast, Upside Down Tulips, celebrates gardening gone wrong!
