Author Profile: June Stoppels
June Stoppels’ expertise in the visual arts is in puppetry. She has a BA from Hope College in Elementary Education, and a MA from Michigan State University in Language Arts with an emphasis on Remedial reading. June has served as a freelance educational consultant in Performing Arts and Puppetry, and has presented demonstrations at in-services and conventions in creative drama, puppetry, creative movement, mime, creative writing, reading and theatre for pre-school age through adults. She has directed plays at area high schools and local community theatre. June is the owner, organizer and director of The Puppet Patch as well as a co-organizer of “Once Upon a Time Puppetours.” Besides The Three Little Pigs, an audience participation play published by Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., June has published a puppet how-to-do book, Puppets Puppets Everywhere, and several articles in various magazines. She resides in Michigan.
