Author Profile:  Nikki Leigh Mondschein

Nikki Leigh Mondschein studied English and Theater at Amherst College, and received her MFA in playwriting from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts' Department of Dramatic Writing in 2001.  Her play, Characters, was published by Pioneer Drama Service, Inc.  when she was sixteen years old.  In addition to receiving the Shubert Fendrich Memorial Playwriting Award for Characters, she has received a Rita and Burton Goldberg Fellowship, Edward Poole Lay and Amherst Memorial Fellowships.
