Author Profile: David Meyer
Meyer began as a bit player in regional musical comedy productions. This prompted his interest in the many facets of staged performances and led to his performance in many roles... both on stage and behind the scenes. He has appeared with a number of theatre troupes including the highly respected Shakespeare '70.
After serving as producer and director to many successful productions, Meyer began exploring the possibility of creating a customized work with material that would meet the ever-increasing demands of local and regional theatre companies.
In addition to his expanding exposure "to all things theatre," David found time to earn several college degrees and work behind the scenes on three major motion pictures.
In 1990, Meyer received the Shubert Fendrich Award for his comedy The Will and the Spirit. Meyer has also authored a number of other popular stage plays as well as an educational tool known as "Quiz Book."
Meyer continues to create several plays a year while compiling a sequel to the popular "Quiz Book."
David makes his home at the Jersey Shore with his wife Carol and their two children. He is an active participant in local and community events and fund-raisers for local charities.
