Author Profile:  Jackie Martin

Jackie Martin is a writer and educator from Norwood, Massachusetts.  Her plays have been produced by theaters, secondary schools, and universities around the United States.  Awards include the Peter Honegger Prizes for Best One Act and Best Short Play, the Audience Choice Award at Shadblow Theatre’s Short Play Festival, and the LabWorks Producers’ Choice Award at the Pittsburgh New Works Festival.  Her play, Abigail, For Now, was a Finalist for the 2023 Woodward/Newman Award.  In addition to Pioneer Drama, she’s had work published by Next Stage Press, YouthPLAYS, Heuer Publishing, Smith & Kraus, Applause, and others.  Jackie is a member of Dramatists Guild of America.
