Carolyn Lane

Artist and writer, set designer and book reviewer, director and editor, multi-talented Carolyn Lane wrote prize winning plays including Turnabout Night At The Zoo and The Wayward Clocks (both for children's theatre,) and The Last Grad (an adult one-act).

Charming children's books by Carolyn Lane include Uncle Max And The Sea Lion (Bobbs-Merrill), Turnabout Night At The Zoo (based on the play published by Pioneer Drama Service, Abingdon Press), The Voices Of Greenwillow Pond (Houghton-Mifflin), and The Winnemah Spirit (Houghton-Mifflin and a Weekly Reader Book Club selection.)

Lane's biographical listings including Who's Who Of American Women; Who's Who In The East; and Contemporary Authors.  Carolyn Lane was a member of the Authors Guild. Among her most popular Pioneer Drama Service plays is The Ransom Of Emily Jane.

Carolyn Lane's most recent play, published shortly before her death, is You Can't Be Too Careful which is especially suitable for community theatres with actors of various ages and for senior citizens.
