After seeing her first musical as a young tot, Regan Kerwin dreamed of a life filled with people breaking out into song and choreographed dance routines - and thus began her journey to make that dream a reality! She grew up on theatre stages across small town Oklahoma, and after obtaining her degree in musical theatre, went on to work professionally throughout the Midwest - landing in Chicago. After years of “character building winters” she and her husband (with character to spare) made their move to Southern California where she enjoyed a career in the videogame industry before returning to theatre - only this time focusing her talents on directing and choreographing for youth theatre.
Many years and many plays/musicals later, Regan was inspired to write her own material - with a focus on creating shows perfectly suited for youth actors, and giving directors the freedom and flexibility to cast each role how they choose regardless of gender, race or creed.
Regan lives in Vista, CA and works for a nonprofit youth theatre organization as their director, choreographer, and producer. She is thrilled to have her latest title, Sketchbook, published by Pioneer Drama and would love to see any production photos of the title or answer any questions! Please feel free to email her at the link above.
