Jim Jeffries grew up in Evansville, Indiana with five brothers who loved The Lord of the Rings, Monty Python, and punning contests. His first taste of theatre was in eighth grade playing Paul Revere’s horse; it was the mane role. In high school, he was allowed into concert choir only because he wrote the sketches for the choir’s annual dinner theatre. On tour, the choir director requested that he sing "very softly."
He earned his B.A. in Education at Indiana University and his Masters in American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He teaches history and government at North High School in Eau Claire where he performs 700 shows a year in front of audiences of 30 critics who are not easily impressed or amused. He is also the Juggling Club Advisor and Assistant Drama Director. Jim keeps his hand in theatre by performing a one-man vaudeville show and by doing local juggling shows with his son and daughter.
He writes everything with his lovely and talented wife, Jane Jeffries.
Jim and Jane also sell madrigal dinner scripts online. Their scripts have been produced in 47 states, Canada, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, Guatemala, and... Croatia.
