Author Profile: Rebecca Gellott
Rebecca Gellott began her career in marketing and trade show coordination for a New Jersey-based telecom company before discovering her passion for education after choreographing her first high school production. She earned her BA in Communications with a minor in Creative Writing, and then went on to earn Master of Education from John Carroll University.
Rebecca went on to direct and choreograph more than thirty-five productions at Padua Franciscan High School and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin School before stepping away from theater in 2022. She now serves as Padua’s Student Life Coordinator, where she has cultivated The Bruin Broadcast Network and launched the school’s professional-grade mascot program.
Rebecca still loves teaching Creative Writing and inspiring students to find their voice. She is the 2015 winner of the A+ Playwriting Contest for Teachers for her stage adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. She lives in Ohio with her husband and three children.
