Author Profile:  Steven Fendrich

Steven Fendrich has been the publisher of Pioneer Drama Service for over 35 years.  Throughout his life, he has enjoyed many aspects of theatre, including acting, directing, doing improv and writing plays and musicals.  He graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon with a degree in Communications.  Before joining the family business at Pioneer Drama Service, Steve briefly taught elementary school, and he continues to volunteer extensively in the community with school-aged children.  Steve donates much of the money he earns from his royalties to various charities, including United Way and the I Have a Dream Foundation.  In his free time he enjoys hiking and taking advantage of both the outdoor beauty of Colorado and the cultural events of Denver.  Steven currently lives in the suburbs of Denver with his wife and two adult children.  He is passionate about promoting the art of drama, believing that theatre has the power to touch lives in many ways, by creating community and giving young actors a place to shine and grow.
