Author Profile: Linda Cooke
Linda Cooke’s job directing high school speech and drama required her to read and evaluate dozens of performance pieces every year. Eventually it occurred to her to write a few of her own.
Ten years later, she has had five works accepted for publication. An additional seven of her works have been produced in four states.
“Nothing in my life has matched the thrill of seeing my work brought to life by youth and adult performers,” she says.
In addition to writing scripts, Linda is working on a series of novels about an American woman who becomes entangled in the Colombian drug trade of the 1980s.
Linda’s two day jobs are teaching Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) and college writing consultant. When not teaching or writing, Linda may be found working on obedience exercises with her two beagles. They hope to have her trained very soon.
