Renee J. Clark

Renee J. Clark
Renee Clark is artistic director for Sierra Repertory Company, located in Southeastern Arizona.  She has been directing and acting for over 27 years.

Renee holds a BA in Drama from Marymount College and an MA in Education from Fairfield University .  She also studied acting at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Her many credits include numerous principal roles in amateur and semi-professional plays and musicals in New York, Connecticut, and Arizona.  For city recreation departments in Connecticut and Sierra Vista, she has established and/or directed summer theatre workshops for young people, specializing in Shakespeare.

She has been an educator for 24 years and is currently a drama teacher at Sierra Vista and Apache Middle Schools.

Renee Clark has written and published six social awareness plays for teens, dealing with topics such as drug prevention, gang awareness, and integrity.  She has also published a full-length musical melodrama titled Brave Buckaroo.

Pioneer Drama Service publishes two of Renee's works:  Choices, a prevention play dealing with issues of friendship and peer pressure, based on a true story; and Fighting for My Self, a full length drama for young women, concerns the inner conflicts young females endure as they struggle to survive the social pressures of the nineties.
