Joseph George Caruso has penned the book for three of Pioneer’s young adult musicals, Huckleberry Finn, Treasure Island and Vaudeville Tonight, all of which have enjoyed long runs in New York City, and have toured many states.

Garden/Park, a musical
Baby Face, a three-act comedy which under a new title, Little Lies, was produced in London's West End Wyndham's Theatre, starring Sir John Mills. After a year's run in London, the production was transferred t Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre for a successful six-week limited engagement.
Blackberries, a musical revue which was produced at the AMAS Repertory Theatre. The production won AUDELCO Awards for Best Musical, Best Direction, and Best Choreography.
Blackamoor, a musical based on the Newberry award-winning book, "I, Juan de Pareja" by Elizabeth Borton de Trevino, which Caruso co-wrote; also at the AMAS Rep.

Before his untimely death in 1993, Joseph George Caruso had completed work on the libretto for two musicals, Murder Is My Beat and Roadside, both with music and lyrics by Grammy/Golden Globe winners and nominees Charlie Black and Austin Roberts.
