Patrick Rainville Dorn received his BA in Theatre from California State University, Long Beach, and his MA in Theatre from the University of Denver.

For several years, he served as assistant editor and first reader at Pioneer Drama Service, then went back to graduate school, earning a MA in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry from St. Thomas Seminary.

Rainville Dorn taught college theatre courses at Colorado Christian University for six years, and was the theatre critic for the Boulder Daily Camera for seven years. He currently teaches a playwriting class for Colorado Free University, and directs plays for Colorado ACTS, a youth-theater company in Denver.

An ordained Anglican priest, Rainville Dorn serves as associate pastor at The Light of Christ Anglican Church.

In addition to the many plays that he's written - Pioneer is pleased to include: BLATHER, BLARNEY and BALDERDASH; SIR NOSE THE BURGER RAT; NIGHTMARE HIGH SCHOOL; and NUTCRACKER among the titles in its catalog - Patrick writes children's books and historical fiction.

Patrick Rainville Dorn lives in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife Abby and children Jacob and Claire.
